Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Preview
While at Capcom’s booth I was shown a few of their mobile titles coming up. Phoenix Wright is a version of the console title and is a sort of port.
Phoenix Wright, in case you aren’t familiar with it, is a sort of lawyer simulator. Each case you solve is a deep, involved story with twists and turns. You will investigate crime scenes as well as participate in the trials. If you’ve played Phoenix Wright already, this is the same game.
It’s a very text-heavy game, so there is a lot of reading. The demo I played here was a sort of short introductory case. I met the characters, got a little background on the crime, and then was asked a few questions in court. There was a little humor to the game, too, and I can see the longer cases having a deeper story.
The game was pretty fun to play, and I could see myself starting it up as I waited for my movie to start or in line at the bank. With the mobile market growing so fast with puzzle games, it’s good to see some other genres that are actually fun to play on a cell phone.
Phoenix Wright should be available this September.
