Are you a fan of Dig Dug? Are you itching for another adventure with that same kind of level-penetrating gameplay? Mr. Do!, soon to be available on mobile phones everywhere, might be the title you’ve been waiting for.

Touted as a pixel-perfect port of the arcade original, Mr. Do! places you in a world without bounds. Your goal, not unlike that of Dig Dug, is to dig through the land, avoid enemy assault, and retaliate with this strange, ball-bouncing weapon. When thrown, the ball bounces through the environment and destroys any enemy it hits immediately on contact. The ball then breaks up into several pieces and returns to its thrower, and comes back to one piece just before arriving. This allows you to throw the ball repeatedly throughout the game.

The time in between throws prevents you from defeating enemies with ease. Most of the adventure will be spent fleeing the scene. Move quick and you’ll survive; stand still for more than a couple of seconds and you’re doomed.

Mr. Do!’s controls have been expertly converted to mobile phones. The game moved and controlled very well, and the graphics were clear and crisp.

No exact release date has been set, but Namco Networks ensures us that you Mr. Do! will be available later this year.
