Elite re-signs Midway’s Paperboy to 2010

Plans new & classic Paperboy mobile products for game’s 25th anniversary

Mobile phone game players can look forward to enjoying new and classic mobile products based on the Midway(TM) arcade title Paperboy(TM). This exciting possibility is a result of Elite® and Midway(TM) extending their existing relationship for Paperboy(TM) mobile products, worldwide, to 2010.

Already in development and scheduled for a spring 2008 release is a brand new game, incorporating the familiar characters and game play dynamics of the arcade title - first seen in 1984.

Also today, Elite® announced that it’s begun a search for development partners to create other Paperboy(TM) mobile products to be launched, in 2009, to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the game’s introduction.

Elite® founder Steve Wilcox said “Classic versions of the Midway(TM) arcade title Paperboy(TM) have been enjoyed by millions of players in the arcades, on consoles and PCs and most recently, courtesy of Elite®, mobile phones.” He continued, “We genuinely hope and believe that the new Paperboy(TM) mobile products will be enjoyed by millions more.”
